Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 28, 2026

Ask Arnie is operated by V3 Ventures Group LLC (“Ask Arnie,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Ask Arnie mobile application (the “App”), our websites including askarnie.app (the “Site”), and our text messaging program (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Questions, conversations, and content. The questions you ask Arnie, typed responses you submit, Arnie's replies, visual answers and controls shown during a conversation, and the plans and preferences you explicitly ask Arnie to save. We securely store the text and visual history of your latest 90 Arnie conversations so you can resume them. Voice audio is not stored.
  • Phone number. If you opt in to our texting program, the mobile number you enter, your consent choices, and your message history with Arnie.
  • Support communications. Anything you send us at support@askarnie.app.

Information collected automatically

  • Approximate location (only if you grant the App location permission), used to provide weather and nearby activity suggestions.
  • Device and usage information, such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and basic usage and performance data.

The App first creates a private device account so it can securely return your plans and conversations to you. You may use the assistant without connecting Google. If you connect Google, your selected primary Google account becomes the recovery identity for your Arnie profile, as described below. Legacy information stored by an earlier version of the App is not imported into Ask Arnie 2.0.

Connected Google data

If you choose to connect Google, Arnie requests your basic Google profile, read access to Calendar events, permission to create confirmed events on calendars you own, and read access to Contacts. You may connect up to ten Google accounts. You select one as your primary Arnie account; successfully connecting that primary account on a new device restores the same Arnie profile, conversation history, and other connected Google accounts. You can see or change the primary account in Settings. Google remains optional and is not required to try the App.

We fetch upcoming events and contact matches when needed and do not copy your Google Calendar or Contacts wholesale. We store encrypted Google refresh tokens, provider resource identifiers, and limited suggestions derived from that information. Restoring your profile does not send Google tokens to the App; they remain encrypted on our servers. We do not request Gmail access in the public version of the App.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, personalize, and improve the Service and respond to your requests.
  • To send you the text messages you signed up for, and to honor your opt-outs.
  • To keep the Service safe, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights.

3. Artificial intelligence processing

Arnie's answers are generated with the help of third-party artificial intelligence providers (for example, large language model services operated by companies such as OpenAI, Google, Amazon Web Services, and Perplexity). Your questions and any content you submit for processing are sent to these providers as our service providers to generate a response. We do not authorize them to use your content to market to you. Please do not include sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account, or government ID details) in your questions.

Live voice conversations are streamed to OpenAI's Realtime service for speech-to-speech processing. We do not retain the raw audio. We encrypt and store the resulting text conversation and visual-answer history in our database so you can reopen or resume a conversation. A live media connection ends after ten minutes or after two minutes of inactivity; ending or losing that connection does not delete the saved conversation.

Optional product-quality review

If you turn on Help improve Arnie in Settings, we may select a limited sample of your saved questions, Arnie's answers, visual responses, interactive controls, and technical tool outcomes for automated quality review by an AI service provider. Raw voice audio is never included. The reviewer evaluates whether the answer was useful and identifies reusable product improvements, such as a missing data source, a failed tool, or a better visual format. Recommendations shown to our product team are encrypted and are instructed not to include names, contact information, calendar titles, exact quotes, or other customer-specific details.

This review is off by default. You can turn it on or off at any time in Settings. Turning it off stops future sampling and removes review records linked to your Arnie profile. It does not delete conversation history that you retain for your own use; you can delete that by deleting your Ask Arnie account.

4. Event proposals and public links

When you ask Arnie to coordinate an event, Arnie can create an unguessable public proposal link that you explicitly choose to share. The page displays the plan details and participant first names, but never contact addresses. Recipients can vote on times and add a short reply without installing the App. Links can be revoked, are rate limited, and expire 30 days after the proposed event. A Google Calendar event and standard attendee invitations are created only after the organizer explicitly confirms the final time.

5. Text messaging program

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with vendors and service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages you requested (for example, our text messaging platform), or as required by law.

  • Enrollment is strictly opt-in from inside the App and confirmed with a one-time verification code.
  • Message frequency varies based on the options you choose (typically a few messages per week).
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to any message to cancel all texts; reply HELP for help or contact support@askarnie.app.
  • Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using the App.

Photos sent by text

If you send a photo by text, we temporarily retrieve it from our text messaging provider and send it to an AI service provider to answer your request. We do not store the image bytes or the provider's temporary media URL in our application message history, and we delete the provider-hosted copy after processing. Your text question and Arnie's answer may remain in your conversation history as described below.

6. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • With service providers that help us run the Service (AI providers, cloud hosting, text message delivery, analytics), bound to use it only on our behalf;
  • For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of you, us, or others;
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy's protections.

7. Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Texting consent records and opt-out records are retained as required to honor your choices and to comply with law. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 9).

Derived calendar suggestions expire when they are no longer useful. Event proposals and their responses remain until the organizer deletes the account or they are no longer needed to operate the plan. OAuth state and cross-device profile claims expire after minutes and can be used only once. We retain at most the latest 90 Arnie conversation histories for a profile and automatically remove older conversations. Per-profile automated quality review records exist only while you have opted in and are removed when you opt out or delete your account. Disconnecting a Google account removes its stored token; deleting the Ask Arnie account deletes the account, conversation history, connections, proposals, responses, and pending actions.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Product-quality review: turn Help improve Arnie on or off in Settings. It is off by default.
  • Google: see connected accounts, select the primary Arnie account, disconnect an account, and revoke Arnie's access from Settings at any time.
  • Ask Arnie account: permanently delete your account and associated data from Settings.
  • Texting: reply STOP to any message, or turn texting off in the App's Text settings.
  • Location: you can disable location access in your device settings at any time.
  • Access or deletion: email support@askarnie.app with the subject “Privacy request.” Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, and we will honor valid requests as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice through the Service.
